Le quartier Médina Fass Mbao, in the suburbs of Dakar, was the scene of a drama on Friday. Moussa D., aged 44 and known to suffer from mental disorders, was found hanging in the house of the district delegate, where he resided, L’Observateur reports. According to the first testimonies collected on the spot, it was his sister, who went to look for the Friday prayer, who made the macabre discovery. Alerted by his cries, the neighbors rushed and tried to rescue the victim by cutting the rope, but Moussa had already rendered the soul. The police of Sicap-Mbao quickly arrived at the scene to carry out the investigation. The body was then transported to a medical facility for autopsy. For the time being, the theory of suicide is privileged, although an investigation has been opened to determine the exact circumstances of the tragedy. According to relatives cited by the same source, nothing, this morning, could have predicted such a gesture.
