Rebondissement in a publication shared on his Facebook page since August 21, 2018, Abass Fall, today mayor of Dakar, has expressed with firmness about the declarations of the former Prime Minister Aminata Touré, known as “Mimi”. Le responsable de Pastef has denounced what he considers as an attempt of political intimidation on the part of the former head of government. “Mimi la pauvre spéciale petite envoyée spéciale est décidément prête à tout pour arrêter sa descente aux enfers et revenir aux affaires pour continuer à savourer les délices du pouvoir”, he writes, reproaching Mme Touré for using threats and verbal violence against Ousmane Sonko, leader of the Pastef party. In his opinion, the former head of the APR had forgotten the numerous verbal lapses which had occurred in the ranks of his own camp. “She forgets that insolence is a trademark held by her party”, he quips, before listing several examples of APR officials who, according to him, have made inappropriate remarks about magistrates, authorities or political opponents. L’édile dakarois then calls Mme Touré à la retenue: “Non Mimi, keep your calm and your dignity. Ask your patron chef de partie to stop using violent words like arène, wathiathia and other phrases of which he is the only one to hold the secret”. Continuing his remarks, he considers that the political debate must be conducted in mutual respect, especially with the approach of the 2019 presidential election: “We are in a period of face-to-face to sell a fight and suffer madame la petite envoyée spéciale that your chef takes blows because he gives.
”Mimi, the poor little special envoy, is ready for anything”.
