The Council of Ministers met on Wednesday 12 November 2025 under the chairmanship of His Excellency Mr Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar FAYE, President of the Republic. TITLE OF THE COMMUNICATION OF THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC. The President of the Republic is hereby authorized to withdraw from the office of the President of the Republic. The Head of State has made a communication on the following points: I’m going to celebrate the day of the armed forces. Mr le Président de la République introduced his communication with the outfit, le 10 novembre 2025, sous sa présidence, de la Journée des Forces Armées on the theme of: “The President of the Republic has introduced his communication with the outfit, le 10 novembre 2025, sous sa présidence, de la Journée des Forces Armées on the theme of: The Head of State informs the Council that he has presided over the opening ceremony of the eighth (8th) edition of the International Mining Exhibition on 6 November 2025, and congratulates the Minister of Energy, Petroleum and Mines and his team for the success of its organization. It calls on the Prime Minister and the Government to pursue the restructuring and transformation of the mining sector, in order to ensure transparent, inclusive and sustainable mining governance and to accelerate the finalisation of the new draft law on the Mining Code, with a view to its adoption before the end of 2025. Expressing his attachment to the sustainable territorial development of mining areas, the President of the Republic reminds the Government of the need to continue the efficient operation of the Fonds de Réhabilitation minière and the Fonds de Développement des Collectivités territoriales.
