Lazare Thiaw, mayor of the commune of Pambal (département of Tivaouane), was arrested by the brigade de recherches de Thiès (70 kilometres from Dakar). He spent his first night in prison yesterday, Thursday. This incarceration follows a judicial information opened at the request of the parquet financier. M. and Thiaw was charged and placed under a warrant of deposit by the judge of the Third Cabinet Financier.
