The Regional Antenne of Ziguinchor of the National Division for the Fight against the Trafficking of Migrants and Similar Practices (DNLT) carried out, on 10 November 2025, the presentation of three persons before the Prosecutor at the Tribunal de Grande Instance de Ziguinchor. These individuals are accused of forgery and use of forgery, complicity in forgery, improper obtaining of Senegalese identity documents and association of perpetrators, in the framework of a presumed network of falsification of administrative documents. The facts date back to 5 November 2025, during a routine check at the Cantenne post office on the “MPACK” axis in Ziguinchor. The agents intercepted an individual in possession of two separate identity documents: one of Senegalese nationality and the other Guinean, suspected of having been obtained fraudulently. The checks revealed that the identity data were incompatible, with the exception of the photograph. The Guinean coin was authentic, while the Senegalese was counterfeit. On questioning, the defendant admitted that the false document had been fabricated on the basis of a civil status document obtained irregularly from the Mairie principale de Guédiawaye, through a third party, for the sum of 60 000 FCFA.
