​Arrested for drug trafficking in Ziguinchor: A man from Guinea-Bissau arrested with 250 grams of cocaine 

  The Yamatogne police station in the Ziguinchor region has carried out a significant arrest in the fight against drug trafficking. An individual in possession of twenty boulettes of cocaine, totalling 250 grams, was arrested during a roadside check at the Kantène post office. According to information provided by the local authorities, the man had arrived from Guinea-Bissau on board a public transport vehicle. His suspicious behaviour during the check alerted the police officers, who decided to carry out a body search. It was during this palpation that the twenty cocaine pellets were discovered, hidden in the suspect’s slip. After precise weighing, the quantity of drugs seized was found to be 250 grams, a notable seizure in this border area often used as a corridor for international narcotics trafficking. The accused, whose identity has not yet been revealed publicly, is currently placed in custody.
