The controversial management of funds Covid-19 enters an active judicial phase. Following the overwhelming report of the Court of Auditors published in August 2022, the dossier was officially transmitted to the Financial Pool, marking a notable acceleration in the proceedings. Furthermore, certain aspects involving officials enjoying a special status could be submitted to the Haute Cour de Justice. The Division of Criminal Investigations (Dic), which had finalised and transmitted its reports in July 2023, brought to light irregularities going beyond the initial findings of the Court of Auditors. These in-depth investigations reveal suspicions of corruption and abuse of office in the management of funds dedicated to the fight against the pandemic. This judicial progress follows the decision taken in February 2023 to open investigations into these irregularities, which has aroused great expectations as to the follow-up of the proceedings. The handling of this emblematic dossier, involving financial issues and institutional responsibilities, is now at the heart of public attention and could redefine public resource management standards.
