Former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has encouraged Mohamed Salah to extend his stay at the club, as the Egyptian star’s current contract is set to expire at the end of the 2024–25 season.
Speaking at a press conference during his unveiling as the Global Head of Soccer for Red Bull, Klopp expressed his hope that Salah would continue his successful tenure with Liverpool.
“I hope he stays,” Klopp said. “He is the biggest striker Liverpool has had in modern times. Of course, there have been other great strikers, but he is a fantastic player, an incredible human being, and an outstanding athlete. He’s the best ambassador any country could have.”
Klopp further praised Salah’s all-around qualities, emphasizing his importance to the club both on and off the field. “Fantastic, really in pretty much all departments. So, I truly hope he will stay at Liverpool,” Klopp added.
