Cheikh Oumar Diagne is expected to arrive on Thursday at the central police station in Dakar. The former director of the General Means of the Presidency must respond to a convocation of the Sûreté urbaine relating to his complaint against the deputy Cheikh Bara Ndiaye. The investigation, ordered by the procureur de la République, according to L’Observateur, which gives the information, is based on accusations of defamation and dissemination of false news. The complainant reproaches the parliamentarian for having suggested, during an intervention widely relayed on the social networks, that he would have a responsibility in the suspected death of Imam Alioune Ndao. The Court held that the applicant’s right to be heard by the public prosecutor had not been infringed by the decision of the Court of First Instance.
