​Cérémonie de levée de corps de l’Adjudant Adama NDIAYE: moments marked by emotion and solemnity 

  The Regional Hospital, Amadou Sakhir NDIÉGUÈNE, de Thiès has hosted, on Thursday 27 November 2025, the ceremony of the departure of the body of the Agent de Constatation (AC) principal des Douanes, Adama NDIAYE, who died tragically, on Tuesday 25 November, in the exercise of his functions. The Director General of Customs, Babacar MBAYE, was on his way to preside over the ceremony. He was accompanied by a strong delegation composed of technical directors, members of his cabinet and heads of service. The ceremony was also attended by customs officials, representatives of the defence and security forces and members of the family of the deceased. In his funeral eulogy, his immediate superior, the Lieutenant des Douanes, Abdoul Aziz NDIAYE, Chief of the Brigade n°1 of the GPRRF, recalled the illustrious career of the AC principal Adama NDIAYE who was presented as “a valiant combatant” who left “an immense vide derrière lui”. His tomb, adds Lieutenant NDAIYE, “is not, however, his last residence, but rather the heart of all his colleagues, parents, friends and service users”. Addressing the audience and particularly his colleagues, Lieutenant Abdoul Aziz NDIAYE was invited to draw inspiration from “his sense of duty, his perseverance and his self-sacrifice”. At the end of the funeral prayer, the Directeur général des Douanes spoke with the family members present at the ceremony. He conveyed to them the condolences of the Customs, the Administration and the entire Customs family.
