Famous Nigerian artist Innocent Idibia, widely known as 2Face, has shared that his eldest son, Nino, does not wish to follow in his footsteps as a musician. Although Nino is a skilled saxophonist, his father mentioned that he aspires to become a medical doctor. 2Face made this announcement while inviting Nino on stage at an event in Abuja celebrating his 25 years in the music industry. “Let’s hear it for my son Nino,” he said to the audience as he brought the young man on stage. “He said he doesn’t want to be a singer.” “He wants to become a doctor,” he remarked as the crowd cheered. 2Face’s eldest son, Nino Idibia, was born on January 15, 2006, to him and his former partner, Sumbo Adeoye. Nino is a saxophonist, model, and social media influencer. It is common for children to follow in their parents’ footsteps in the Nigerian music scene. Recently, Wizkid’s first son, Boluwatife Balogun, embarked on his music career at the age of 14 with his debut EP, ‘Champions’ Arrival,’ using the stage name Champz.
