D’aprés Senego, the agents of the commissariat de Pikine, arrested on suspicion of police brutality which led to the death of Mohamed Diop, dit Mohamed Taya, appeared before the tribunal de grande instance on Tuesday. The prosecutor of the Republic requested a sentence of 7 years in prison against them, and the deliberation is set for 11 February next. Conduit au Technopole, he would have been violently beaten. Conscious of the gravity of his injuries, the six agents had then transported him to the Centre de Santé Dominique, before he was transferred to the Principal Hospital. The six police officers, arrested since April, had been placed under mandat de dépôt pending their trial.
