Ghanaian singer Eno Barony, famously known as the” Rap Goddess”, has shared her thoughts on what really defines success in the music industry. Eno believes that awards are insufficient to accurately assess an artist’s impact despite winning numerous awards, including the 2021 Telecel Ghana Music Awards ( TGMA ) for his rap performance.
Eno stressed the value of focusing on an artist’s work’ influence and approach rather than its wealth of awards. ” I’ve seen musicians who haven’t won prizes, yet their song has transformed life, sparked significant meetings, and brought people up. That, to me, is the true nature of success”, she said.
Eno, who has made her mark in a male-dominated music scene, believes all designers may become recognized for their hard work, whether or not they get awards. ” Often it feels like if you don’t have an honor, persons think you’re not talented, but that’s bad. Many talented painters put in a lot of effort, and they deserve praise, she continued.
The musician is now celebrating the success of her latest song,’ No Manual’, released on January 1, 2025. The song has amassed over 6 million flows on Audiomack, with striking songs like” Soja Get Soja Travel” featuring King Paluta,” Bowl” featuring Fuse ODG, and” Street Love” with Jay Bahd receiving popular admiration.
Eno’s trip in music began in 2014 with her debut one Tonga. In 2015, she and Abrewa Nana co-starred in Megye Wo Boy, which earned her even more identification. She has grown over the years, reaching many goals, including hosting the second book of her quarterly Eid Concert in Koforidua in 2024.
