Popular Ghanaian journalist Okatakyie Afrifa, has embarked on a bold new book in his press job after parting way with Angel TV. He recently launched his own show, produced from the comfort of his house, where he critiques societal and political issues without anxiety. The vocal variety wasted no time stirring disagreement, starting his display with strong criticism of US-based Ghanaian columnist Kevin Taylor. Okatakyie accused Taylor of avoiding Ghana according to an outstanding arrest attempt against him, claiming this is the reason Taylor remains worldwide to create what he described as “wild complaints. ” While some visitors have praised Okatakyie for his brave criticism and determination to be relevant in Ghana’s press room, others are cautious about the conservation of his new venture. A distinctive opinion online read, “This thing will crumble after six month. Running a display individually is not easy. ” The unorthodox layout of the present, filmed in what appears to be a relaxed house culture, has also drawn mixed emotions. While some find it refreshing and relevant, others argue it diminishes the expertise associated with traditional radio. Critics have even questioned Okatakyie’s decision to focus his original shows on personal problems rather than substantial problems. “If he’s going to spend his time attacking people like Kevin Taylor, this show won’t last longer, ” one social media user remarked.
