Chris Brown has filed a$ 500 million lawsuit against Warner Bros. , Ample, and the manufacturers of the docuseries Chris Brown: A History of Violence, accusing them of defamation and mental problems. The October 2024 series, aired on Investigation Discovery, portrays the singer as a “serial rapist ” and “sexual abuser ” and features allegations from multiple women, including one accuser, Jane Doe, who claims Brown raped her in 2020. Colored ’s legal team denies the accusations, asserting that Doe has been discredited in the past. They also point out that a relevant lawsuit she filed in 2022 was dismissed after word messages revealed contradictions in her story. The complaint alleges the narrative valued gain over facts, ignoring literary morality and repackaging old charges with falsehoods, despite being provided evidence to the contrary. Brown argues the line has damaged his job and business prospects, undermining his decade-long work to repair his standing following his 2009 innocent appeal for assaulting then-girlfriend Rihanna. Brown ’s prosecutors claim the makers knowingly released a deceptive narrative, disregarding his personal development and the damage it may cause to his popularity. They also argue that the video harms the legitimacy of true survivors of assault by boosting false claims. The song is seeking$ 500 million in damage and a jury trial, accusing the defendants of slander, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and unauthorized use of his name and likeness for commercial purposes. His lawyer, Levi McCathern, emphasized the importance of protecting the wisdom and holding internet stores responsible for spreading fake and disparaging information. Learn ALSO: Refused A UK Visa?
