Auto crash leaves seven passengers injured in Yobe 

A road traffic crash involving an 18-seater bus has injured seven passengers along the Damaturu–Maiduguri highway.

The incident, which occurred on Friday, was said to have been caused by a tyre burst, leading the vehicle to crash.

Yobe Emergency Medical Ambulance Services, YEMABUS, confirmed the incident in a statement issued by its Information and Public Relations Officer, Ibrahim Waziri, and made available to newsmen in Damaturu.

According to the statement, upon receipt of a distress call, a YEMABUS crew was dispatched to the scene where they rescued the victims of the crash.

“The YEMABUS Crew worked tirelessly to rescue the victims and transported them to the Yobe State University Teaching Hospital Damaturu for urgent medical attention.
“We are committed to providing emergency medical services to those in need, and we urge everyone to prioritise road safety and emergency preparedness,” the statement said.
