A date to mark on the electoral agenda of Gabon. The most important stage of the transition began after the coup d’état that removed Ali Bongo from power: Gabonese voters are called to the polls for the presidential election to be held on Saturday 12 April 2025, more than four months before the original deadline for the end of the transition, at the end of August. The decree was adopted yesterday by the Council of Ministers following the adoption at the beginning of the week of the new electoral code which will therefore govern this election.
