EPL: Arsenal suffer injury blow after Aston Villa defeat 

Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, has confirmed that Cristhian Mosquera will be “out for weeks” with an ankle problem.

Arteta revealed this after their 2-1 defeat at Aston Villa on Saturday.

The Gunners began the game with Jurrien Timber and Hiero Hincapie in the centre of defence.

Mosquera was ruled out for the trip to Villa Park, having limped off during the 2-0 win over Brentford.

Arteta said after the match at the Emirates that the Spanish defender will undergo more tests.

“He is going to be out for weeks, unfortunately,” Arteta told reporters.

“It’s much more than what we expected.”
