The New Patriotic Party ( NPP ) has accused the musician of manipulating his music without his permission, and he is a highlife musician. The actor, who collaborated with the group in 2008, says they used his lyrics and academic property to fraudulently reflect his support of their 2024 presidential participant, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
Speaking on Accra-based Fine FM, Kwabena Kwabena expressed his disappointment, describing the group’s actions as unethical and devastating to his popularity. ” They picked something I did for former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in 2008, went to the theater, doctored it, and made it seem like I had done it in 2024 to embrace Dr. Bawumia. When they were done, they didn’t tell me something, and so persons still think I’m NPP because of what they do”, he lamented. He emphasized the importance of giving designers their permission before using their work and obtaining right approval before using their job.
