Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has confirmed that he will defect to the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Governor Fubara disclosed this during a stakeholder meeting at the Government House on Tuesday.
He said his decision to defect is in the interest of Rivers people.
The governor added that he has gotten the approval of President Bola Tinubu to join the ruling party.
Fubara’s defection has been much anticipated following several meetings with the President and the recent defection of 17 Rivers State House of Assembly members.
