War veterans in Zimbabwe, who were previously strong allies of President Emmerson Mnangagwa, are now calling for his resignation, alleging favoritism, corruption, and poor handling of the economy. During a press conference, Blessed Runesu Geza, a seasoned member of Zanu-PF’s central committee, expressed disapproval of Mnangagwa, highlighting his inability to fulfill the commitments made following his ascent to leadership in 2017. Geza pointed out the deteriorating situation as “Zimbabwe’s War Veterans Revolt Against President Mnangagwa.”
