My Love For Music Grew From ‘Pain’ – Fameye Talks About His Childhood Struggles

Fameye, a musician, has claimed that the unfortunate themes in his songs were inspired by his difficult early years. Fameye was raised by his grandmother before moving to Accra at the age of eight to sit with his aunt, losing both of his relatives at a very young age.
Fameye carried out his duties without a complaint despite feeling too heavy for one his years while he was residing with his aunt. ” I was fetching water, washing, scrubbing, and doing all those issues. At a young time, I found myself singing while doing these things because, at that time, I felt it was abuse. My uncle had four children, but I, Peter ( referring to himself ), did most of the tasks. I may be singing and crying, and that’s how my love for music developed”, he revealed.
He claimed that much of the suffering he experienced as a child is what he draws from his song. People criticize me for singing depressing music, but in truth, I reflect on both the hardships I faced as a child and the way I lived my life. That’s what I sing on. Ama Boahemaa’s tunes were the people I sang to promote myself”, he said.
Fameye even acknowledged King Ayisoba’s effect on his song, noting that one of his lines,” The Whole World,” was one of his.
