Tamale Teacher In Police Custody After Exchanging Blows With Student Over A Lady  

After a professor was detained for physically assaulting one of his female students over a woman, a disturbing incident in Tamale, Northern Region, has shocked the area.
According to a record by GHOne TV, the confrontation occurred last Thursday outside a town café, where 34-year-old Mr. Kwasi Amoako, a professor at Tamale Technical Institute, was seen arguing with his 19-year-old scholar, Abdul Rahman. Witnesses reported that Fatimah Musa, a first-year student at the University for Development Studies ( UDS ), and other men were fighting for their attention at the time of the disagreement, which quickly turned into a physical altercation.
Amina Ibrahim, a café merchant, recalled the tragedy, saying,” As Mr. Kwasi got closer to Abdul, they began yelling at each other, and then it turned into beating. Watching a professor fight with a student like that was truly shocking.
Abdul, who suffered injury in the encounter, explained that the explanation started when Mr. Kwasi accused him of trying to steal his partner. ” Before I could explain everything, he hit me”, Abdul said.
Spectators who called the police were immediately attracted to the struggle, and Mr. Kwasi was detained for disturbing the peace and abuse. Kofi Mensah, the examiner, confirmed that the investigations are ongoing.
Mr. Kwasi admitted to his steps in a short speech, expressing regret:” I made a blunder, and I greatly regret the way I acted. It was wrong, and I am sorry to Abdul and the whole school”.
