Maurice Ampaw, a secret lawyer and unit admirer who made a lot of sounds during the vote campaign and fearlessly declared that he would travel to Togo if John Mahama won the election, has since changed his speech, claiming he always meant what he said.
He admitted on GTV Ghana that it was all just social speak to win back from Mahama. ” I didn’t get to Togo. Ghana is significantly superior to Togo. I don’t even have a card, I’ve rarely traveled before”, he admitted.
Ampaw, who was strongly in Dr. Bawumia’s camp during the campaign, also admitted that Mahama’s success was a real test. ” At the end of the day, Mahama proved to me that anything is possible. I always thought he was returning, but he did”, he said
