Nollywood rising sun Patience Ugwu, popularly known as Pat Ugwu, has tragically died.
Ugwu’s death was announced on Wednesday, February 5th, 2025, on social media by several of her acquaintances. She was just 35 years older.
” Rest in peace sisters. Pat Ugwu. @patpat_ugwu so we no get to work again? Death whyooo? God choose. Rest in peace PAT. Does your mind relax in the breast of the Lord”, professional Emeka Okoye wrote on Instagram.
Ugwu’s passing shocked both some of her fellow players and Nigerians.
” Chai only woke up this morning to the news that one of our staff and actors died. Rest in peace, Pat Ugwu,” said actor Kevin Mike.
In the Enugu State Igbo-Eze South Local Government Area, Pat Ugwu was a local of Umuogbu Itchi. She had recently been popular in Nollywood thanks to her numerous well-known functions.
Ugwu is set to be buried on Friday, February 7, 2025 in her home of Umuogbu Itchi.
