A pregnant woman and her unborn child tragically passed away after a doctor attempted to perform a Caesarean section by learning from a YouTube tutorial.

A physician apparently watched a YouTube video while performing a Caesarean area, leading to the incidents of a pregnant woman and her child, at Lebechi Hospital in Owerri, Imo State.
Onyekachi Eze, his grieving wife, shared his terrible story in a video that Nollywood producer Stanley Ontop posted to Instagram. Eze raconted that he took his wife, who was in labor, to the doctor, where doctors informed him that due to excessive bleeding, she needed an emergency Preterm area.
But, to his surprise, he witnessed the physician and health staff watching a YouTube movie during the operation. They were watching a YouTube videos on how to do operation while I was there. I lost my wife and my infant during the process”, he lamented.
Following common anger, law enforcement authorities stepped in and arrested the doctor’s owner. The hospital’s landlord, who was watching doctors ‘ videos on YouTube how to perform procedure, was detained, according to a second video shared by Ontop that confirmed the arrest.
The physicians responsible for the failed operation have reportedly fled, with officers making more and more of an effort to find them, despite some nurses who have also been detained. The tragic event has raised questions about the state’s absence of rules and medical negligence.
