The Senegalese Army conducted a vast operation of destruction of fields of Indian hemp in the south of the country. According to the Direction de l’information et des relations publiques des Armées (DIRPA), the units of the Military Zone N°6 have targeted Saré Koundian, a locality in the Kolda region, close to the Guinean border. “This activity is part of the fight against crime and illicit trafficking in this zone bordering Guinea”, DIRPA states in its account X. L’Armée multiplies thus the operations of dismantlement of these illicit cultures.
