Ghanaian preacher Prophet Emmanuel Akwasi Boakye, also known as Prophet Ogyaba, has announced his plans to enter politics. Speaking in an interview with Empress Gifty on U-Cook, he revealed that he wants to contest for a parliamentary seat in his hometown, Dunkwa-On-Offin.
Although he has been in the news recently due to a cheating scandal, Prophet Ogyaba is focused on his goal. He explained that he wants to go into politics to help develop his community. He has already supported many charitable projects across the country and hopes to do the same in his hometown.
“I plan to go to Dunkwa-On-Offin and start a project for the people because I want to run for Member of Parliament. I also want to help my community,” he said. He also mentioned that if elected, he would one day run for president.
His announcement has received mixed reactions, with some people supporting him and others criticizing his decision.
