New twist in the Doro Gaye case:

Indicted and placed under mandat de dépôt following his mid-November summons in the Doro Gaye case, Colonel Cheikh Sarr has not said his last word. Les Échos reveal that the former head of the Section de Recherches (SR) has been seized by the Chambre d’accusation. The Court of Justice has also ruled in favour of the applicant, which has not been able to provide any evidence to support its contention that the Commission’s decision to impose a fine on the applicant was unlawful, and that the Commission’s decision to impose a fine was unlawful. Among other grievances raised by the lawyers of Doro Gaye, “the judge d’instruction had révoqué le contrôle judiciaire avant même que leur client ne quitte le pays [while] none of the conditions of the judicial control has been violated by their client”, recalls Les Échos.
