The revelations continue to rain on the conditions and causes of the assignment of the treatment center for the mentally ill of Sing Sing to Ansoumana Dione. This health institution, formerly named after Imam Assane Cissé and managed since its inception by Dr Alioune Seck before being entrusted, by order of President Macky Sall, is at the heart of great controversies. Built by the State of Senegal, it was obtained thanks to the plea of the association of Ansoumana Dione who believes that there are not enough structures in Senegal to come to the aid of the mentally ill. Although the land and the building had been acquired by the State of Senegal, our informants informed us that President Abdoulaye Wade had assigned it to the Senegalese Association for the Follow-up and Assistance of the Mentally Ill (ASSAM), which has been directed since then by Ansoumana Dione.
