Werder Bremen have confirmed Victor Boniface will undergo surgery on his injured knee on Saturday (today), DAILY POST reports.
The Nigeria international will also miss the remainder of the 2025/26 season.
Boniface is on loan at Werder Bremen from another Bundesliga club, Bayer Leverkusen.
The loan agreement between Werder Bremen and Bayer Leverkusen will, however, remain in effect until the end of the season.
The 25-year-old has been sidelined since last December.
He has made 11 league appearances for Bremen, registering two assists.
