The inhabitants of Sicap Rue 10 woke up this Sunday to the discovery of the lifeless body of a young shoe salesman found hanging in a construction site near the BRT station in Grand-Dakar. On the spot, the Commissioner’s men proceeded to the first observations. According to initial reports, the man hanged himself with a rope he had attached to the chain of the construction site. Samba Mamadou Ba, aged about 30, originally from Matam and domiciled at Sicap Rue 10, told police that his friend and roommate, Yaya Sakho, told police that they lived with other people in a rented room next to the site where the body was found. According to him, the deceased had no wife or child. He didn’t complain about anything and he wasn’t sick, to his knowledge. He was last seen yesterday at around 10 p.m. Afterwards, the firefighters took the body to the morgue of the General Hospital Idrissa Pouye de Grand-Yoff.
