Ghanaian artist Maame Serwaa physically reflects on the gruesome accusations she faced after losing her mom.
The young actress revealed in a recent interview with Emelia Brobbey on Okukuseku Screen that she was accused of being responsible for her mother’s death rather than receiving comfort during her moment of pain.
The most agonizing aspect, in Maame Serwaa’s opinion, was that some of the accusers were close to her. She described the emotional strain it caused on her, and acknowledged that the suffering and false allegations almost brought her to the verge of committing suicide.
” The charges broke me even more when my mother passed away than the ones I was now devastated by.” That some of the persons pointing fingers at me were persons I trusted, she revealed sadly, was what caused the most pain.
She likewise reflected on how much her life had changed as a result of her mother’s moving. Her mother, who had taken her to interviews and coached her occupation since she was a young child, had always been her main support system. Losing her forced her to manage the business only, as well as creating an emotional void.
Maame Serwaa further revealed that she had assured her that she would live to have her grandchildren while her mother passed away, a promise that painfully never materialized.
