Social media users have praised President, John Dramani Mahama, over his governance so far, comparing him to former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
According to netizens, Mahama’s performance so far has shown him to be a fantastic leader while Akufo-Addo in comparison looks like a unit committee leader.
The glowing comments were made following a recent declaration by the President in regards to the fight against galamsey. In comments addressed to members of the galamsey task force, Mahama said instead of burning down excavators found at illegal mining sites, as has always been the case, they should confiscate them.
His comments received high praise on social media.
“JM’s second coming has made it clear that Nana Addo was just a unit committee member 😂” one netizen wrote.
Another said: “Great directive Mr Excellency, we only hope individuals seizing them won’t be compromised to release them back into the wild to engage in same activities that threatens our entire survival,”
