Johannesburg – Brazilian international football star Carlos Henrique Casemiro has announced he is leaving Manchester United after four years.
The 33-year-old Brazilian midfielder, who joined from Real Madrid in 2022 for £70 million, helped United win the Carabao Cup and FA Cup while making over 130 appearances and scoring 21 goals.
Casemiro told fans in a post on X that knowing when to say goodbye is knowing when you feel that you will be “remembered and respected forever”.
He added, “Four months to give my all for this badge and for our goal.
“Eternal respect and affection for Manchester United and its wonderful fans. Forever Red Devil.”
Manchester United confirmed he will leave as a free agent when his contract expires at season’s end, praising the serial winner’s impact.
