Women of faith are called upon to unite in prayer on March 7, in commemoration of the 95th Women’s World Day of Prayer (WWDP).
The mass service will be hosted by the Benoni Central Methodist Church, corner Bunyan and Cranbourne streets (entrance Cranbourne Street) at 10:00.
First hosted in America in 1887, the inter-denominational mass prayer meeting was officially observed in South Africa in 1956.
Taking into account the global time differences, the gatherings will take place with women in Fiji taking a knee first, with the last being concluded in the US.
Women throughout Benoni are invited to attend this year’s event joining in prayer.
