Durban – A middle-aged female driver suffered a medical emergency before crashing her car into a shop along Pelican Drive in the Yellow Wood Park area, South of Durban.
ALS Paramedics, who responded to the incident, found the car inside the popular shop.
The crash occurred at around 10:40 hours on Monday, 26 January 2026.
ALS Paramedics spokesperson Garrith Jamieson said: “Paramedics arrived at the scene to find that a single vehicle had somehow lost control and crashed into a popular shop, coming to rest inside the store”.
Jamieson added: “Paramedics found a female believed to be in her 60s had allegedly had a medical emergency and crashed.
“Paramedics stabilised the female on scene before transporting her to a nearby Hospital for the further care that she required.”
Police were on the scene and were investigating.
