United States President, Donald Trump has expressed gratitude to Venezuelan leaders for their recent decision to release political prisoners, describing it as a significant humanitarian gesture.
The US leader disclosed this in a post on his Truth Social platform on Monday, noting the swift nature of the release process.
Trump said he was happy to let the public know that “Venezuela is releasing its Political Prisoners at a rapid rate.”
The Republican, however, thanked the leaders of Venezuela for agreeing to what he described as a “powerful humanitarian gesture.”
This is coming after Venezuela released over 80 political prisoners amid pressure from the United States.
