(BPRW) Gap teams up with Harlem’s Fashion Row to honor cultural expression and creativity through a special limited-edition collaboration. (Black PR Wire) Gap has partnered with Harlem’s Fashion Row (HFR) to launch a limited-edition collection consisting of 16 pieces created by six Black designers. Launching in honor of Black History Month, this collection revitalizes Gap’s classic wardrobe essentials, created by the innovative minds of A.Potts, BruceGlen, KAPHILL, N’Gai, and Richfresh. It became available on Friday, February 14, in certain stores and on gap.com. The collection features each designer’s distinct perspective, showcased through Gap’s classic products. Gap and Harlem’s Fashion Row launched the collection during a special event held at Gap’s headquarters in San Francisco on Thursday, February 13. The engaging event that combined narrative, fashion, and movement took place just before the NBA’s All-Star Weekend in San Francisco. Mark Breitbard, President & CEO of Gap brand, remarked, “This collaboration makes perfect sense, as it aligns with our common goal of empowering creators and offering them a venue to showcase their talents globally.” The creativity of every designer shines prominently, drawing inspiration from Gap’s legacy while offering a unique and genuine viewpoint to craft a genuinely original collection. We are thrilled to unite our communities for a celebration in San Francisco, a city that inspires creativity and innovation. Since 2019, Gap has been a devoted collaborator with HFR, contributing to their mission by participating in industry events, creating brand partnerships, offering educational initiatives, and making strategic investments in HBCUs via HFR’s ICON360 program.
