Arteta Cautions That Arsenal Remains in the EPL Title Contention

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is confident that his team remains in contention for the Premier League title, even though they are currently 11 points behind league leaders Liverpool. The Gunners sit in second place with 53 points, while Liverpool leads with 64 points. Arsenal faced a significant setback in their title chase after losing 1-0 to West Ham United at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday. Liverpool capitalized on this by defeating Manchester City 2-0 at the Etihad Stadium the next day. Arsenal aims to revive their title hopes on Wednesday against Nottingham Forest at the City Ground. In his pre-match press conference on Tuesday, Arteta emphasized that his team should not be counted out. When asked if Arsenal had given up on the title, Arteta firmly responded: “Over my dead body.” When asked once more if he truly believes Arsenal can achieve it, the Spaniard replied: “If not, I’ll head home.” From a mathematical perspective, it’s feasible. “You are present, and you must participate in every game.” Out of nowhere, three days ago, we were able to bridge the gap, and now you’re just one and a half games behind. It’s inconsequential. “We must keep moving forward.” The Gunners aim to continue their superiority against Forest when they face off on Wednesday. In their previous three matchups, Arteta has guided his team to victory each time.
