EPL: Theo Walcott makes fresh title prediction, warns Arsenal fansĀ

Former Arsenal star, Theo Walcott has said that he feels confident that Arsenal will bounce back from their recent small setback and finally end their long wait for the Premier League title.

Arsenal’s lead at the top has been cut down to just four points after they failed to win in their last three matches against Liverpool, Nottingham Forest, and Manchester United

The Gunners’ match against United began well when Lisandro Martinez accidentally scored an own goal just before the half-hour mark at the Emirates.

The visitors showed strong determination and came back to win 3-2, with amazing goals from Patrick Dorgu and Matheus Cunha helping Michael Carrick continue his successful run as interim manager.

Earlier in the weekend, Manchester City and Aston Villa both won their games, beating Wolves and Newcastle respectively, which kept the pressure on the league leaders as they prepare for their next match against Leeds.

However, since Arsenal’s loss was only their third of the season so far, Walcott says fans do not need to begin worrying too much.

ā€œThe team has lost three matches all season, which is a big change since they hadn’t lost in a long time,ā€ said the former Arsenal and England striker in an interview with DR Sports.

ā€œIt was a completely different Manchester United team, but that’s not an excuse. I wouldn’t be panicking at all, no, because they’ve been in this situation before.

ā€œAt times this year, everyone has had a tough time. People are talking about how Arsenal are having a tough time right now, but it’s just one game. I always thought that traveling to Sunderland, who haven’t lost any games at home, was a good outcome.

ā€œNottingham Forest were really struggling, and they’re actually in a tough spot. These teams are competitive. They’re entering a phase where, yes, they have a great period, but the frustrating part for Arsenal fans is they want them to be more free and expressive at times. I get that.

ā€œWe just have to trust exactly what is happening. It’s fine. I believe the players will begin to feel the effects of that environment as we keep increasing the pressure on them.ā€
