
The Oyo State Government has announced that all Ministries, Departments, and Agencies, MDAs, will close early to allow public servants to participate in the grand finale of activities marking the state’s 50th anniversary.
The directive, signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Musibau Adetunji Babatunde, on Monday, specifies that all state offices will close by 12:00 noon on Tuesday, February 3, 2026.
According to the statement, heads of MDAs have been instructed to ensure full compliance with the order and to make arrangements for skeletal services in essential departments where necessary.
Governor Engr. Seyi Makinde approved the early closure as part of preparations for the golden jubilee celebration, themed Oyo at 50.
Prof. Babatunde also urged that the announcement be widely disseminated to ensure that all public officers and the general public are informed of the directive.
