Ghana Police Pick Up 21-Year-Old Daniel Tuffour In Connection With Death Of KNUST Joana Deladem Yabani  

A suspect has been detained by the Ghana Police Service in connection with the tragic passing of Level 400 Biological Science undergraduate Joana Deladem Yabani, who attends Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Kumasi.
The 21-year-old pupil was discovered unresponsive behind the school ‘ Central Laboratory in the early days of February 27, 2025, according to a declaration from the Police Public Affairs Directorate. Before bringing her figure to the doctor mortuary for further investigation, health staff from KNUST Hospital confirmed her death at the field.
A following police investigation revealed obvious signs of violence on the victim, giving rise to suspicions of foul play. Following intense crime scene studies, 21-year-old Daniel Tuffour was arrested and is now in police prison assisting with the research.
The Inspector-General of Police has physically spoken with the deceased’s home to provide sympathies and assurances that justice will be served. Also, the police are collaborating closely with KNUST authorities to look into ways to improve campus security and stop similar incidents from occurring in the future.
