The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, has directed that the Airport Road be connected to Tunga Madaki and surrounding communities within Abuja.
He made this known during an on-the-spot assessment of the ongoing road project.
In a brief update, his media aide, Lere Olayinka, revealed that the minister was personally inspecting the construction of a newly built road designed to link the Airport corridor with Tunga Madaki and other parts of the FCT.
According to him, Wike has also instructed that work should begin on extending the road towards Zuba.
This comes as the minister noted that the FCT has undergone significant transformation since President Bola Ahmed Tinubu took office.
Wike emphasized that under the current administration, Abuja has recorded remarkable progress, particularly in infrastructure development.
