Senator Mustapha reacts as terrorists’ attack leaves 40 dead in Kwara 

Kwara Central senator, Saliu Mustapha, has condemned the recent violent attacks on Woro and Nuku communities in Kaiama Local Government Area of Kwara State.

DAILY POST reports that the terrorists invaded the community on Tuesday evening, killing soldiers and forest guards.

The death toll from the attack hit 40 on Wednesday.

Reacting, the lawmaker, in a statement, said he received the distressing report of the violent attacks on innocent citizens with deep sadness.

He described the incident as a senseless act that underscores the urgent need for unity, vigilance, and stronger community cooperation in tackling insecurity.

The senator urged residents of the affected areas and the entire state to remain calm, support security agencies, and promptly report suspicious movements to help safeguard their communities.

“On behalf of the people of Kwara Central Senatorial District, I strongly condemn these attacks and extend my heartfelt condolences to the Emir of Kaiama, Alhaji Mu’azu Omar (Bagidi Kiyaru IV), the families of the victims, and everyone affected,” he said.
