His Excellency, the President of the Republic, Bassirou Diomaye Faye, presided over the ceremony of the graduation of the 2022-2024 graduating class of the Centre de Formation Judiciaire. He reminded the new magistrates of the eminent responsibility they have: to render justice with integrity and probity, embodying the fundamental values which give their mission all its nobility. The Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) is the supreme judicial authority of the European Union (EU) and the court of first instance of the European Union (EU) in matters of international law. He underlined the need for a modern justice system with robust mechanisms and adequate resources to deal with these challenges. In this regard, he reaffirmed the Government’s determination to strengthen judicial capacity and to equip the country with the necessary means to combat cybercrime effectively, while guaranteeing the protection of citizens’ rights. In conclusion, the President of the Republic addressed his most sincere congratulations to the new magistrates and urged them to be models of integrity, rigor and dedication, at the service of law and justice for all.
