Tahirou Sarr was placed under a mandat de dépôt following his hearing at the Pool judiciaire financier (PJF). He thus joins his friend and collaborator Farba Ngom in Rebeuss prison, in an affair that rocks the Senegalese political and economic sphere. Convoked on Friday 28 February by the PJF, Tahirou Sarr has been heard in the context of the case of suspicious transactions involving 125 billion CFA francs, revealed by the CENTIF. To avoid prison, the businessman would have proposed a bail of more than 400 billion CFA francs. In the case where Farba Ngom is the main accused, he put on the table a cheque for 11 billion and two land titles worth respectively 1 and 12 billion. In the procedure where he is directly targeted for an alleged embezzlement of 91.6 billion, he proposed a land title estimated at 394 billion to Mbane, according to Libération.
