Activist, Deji Adeyanju has said the Senate President Godswill Akpabio and members of the National Assembly, have succeeded in pushing through their “evil plan” of allowing manual transmission of results.
Adeyanju made the remark while criticizing what he described as the manual transmission of election results, alleging that the development undermines recent electoral reforms.
Reacting to the conclusion of the Occupy National Assembly protest, Adeyanju argued that such a move could reverse key gains achieved in Nigeria’s electoral reform process.
Posting on X, he expressed concern that permitting manual transmission could compromise transparency and weaken public confidence in the electoral system.
“So the protest is over despite the fact that Akpabio and his Hallelujah boys succeeded with their evil plans of manual transmission of results. Na wa ooo.
“If manual transmission is in the Electoral Act as an option then Akpabio & his Hallelujah boys in NASS have finished Nigeria.
“It’s all over. All the electoral reform gains reversed just like that,” he wrote.
