End of an era – Shehu Sani mourns US civil right icon Jesse Jackson 

Former federal lawmaker, Senator Shehu Sani, has mourned the death of U.S. civil rights activist Jesse Jackson, describing it as an “end of an era.”

DAILY POST had earlier reported that Jackson passed away peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday morning, surrounded by family and friends, according to a statement released by his family.

Reacting to the news, Sani took to his X handle to express his grief, writing “Jesse Jackson, a trailblazer for civil rights and social justice, leaves behind a legacy that’ll keep inspiring generations.”

Reflecting on Jackson’s lifelong work, the senator added, “His unwavering dedication to racial equality, justice, freedom, and compassion has made a lasting impact on the world.”

He concluded his tribute with “End of an era. Rest in power, Jesse Jackson. Your work lives on!”
