The Ottawa Rapid star was omitted from Nigeriaās squad to the 2023 FIFA Womenās World Cup.
The 32-year-old then took time off football due to pregnancy and child birth.
Okobi received a surprise invitation for Super Falconsā double-header friendlies against Cameroon last week.
The former Falconets declared she is honoured with the invitation.
āIām excited, and happy to be back in the team again. Iām grateful, and honoured. I canāt talk about my expectations at the moment . The way I do things is to take one step at a time,ā Okobi told the Super Falcons media.
āI have seen a lot of messages, criticism in the social media which I donāt to care about . I know what I did, and what has happened to me since child birth. Itās a blessing and not a cause.ā
The midfielder has made 27 appearances for the Super Falcons.
